manchester airport parkingManchester is the busiest single runway airport in the world, the second largest airport in the UK and the sixth busiest international airport in the world.

Its development strategy for the future focuses on the airport's expansion as a single runway, two terminal airport, as it grows to handle around 40 million passengers a year, within the next ten years.

BUSINESS & CONFERENCE:
Manchester Airport offers a high standard of banqueting facilities and can accommodate up to 400 people for a wide range of functions.

A comprehensive range of audio-visual equipment is available, including overhead projection system, PA system, centralised control consoles, telephone, fax, Prestel etc.

BABY CARE:
In Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, baby change facilities are located mainly in the Ladies toilets. However, there is a facility situated in the Terminal 1 Arrivals Area that can be used by either parent.

Passengers travelling from Terminal 1 can now appreciate the benefits of the new look baby change facility at Manchester Airport. The new facility on level 5 is part of a phased development to upgrade all the baby change rooms at the Airport.

Customers will be able to expect a lot more than the basic unit, especially as they may be travelling for several hours on a flight. The new unit boasts attractive decor, a children's high chair to restrain older toddlers in safety, a bottle warmer, a soft padded changing mat and a specially designed chair for nursing mothers. Full safety instructions are also clearly displayed.

In Terminal 2, baby change facilities are located next to selected Ladies and Gents toilets, for use by either parent. These facilities are clearly signposted in each terminal.

CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA:
The playcare centre is located in the Departure Lounge of Terminal 1. The centre is open 24hrs, and available to children under 4'4" or 132cm. The area is unstaffed, and so a responsible adult should remain with children at all times.
